February 14, 2012 - UM-St. Paul Continuing Education & Conference Center
Thank you for making the 2012 Professional Development Conference a Success. Plan on joining us next year on February 12th for another outstanding conference experience.

The Northwest Chapter Annual Professional Development Conference took place February 14 and was a great success. A light snow from the night before did not discourage over 220 attendees who came to the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus for a “sweetheart of a day” full of information, training, and networking. After a warm welcome from PDC Chair Diana Stegall and ASSE Society President Elect Rick Pollock, our Keynote Speaker, Daniel M. McCune from Embry-Riddle University in Florida delivered an impactful and entertaining message on human factors of safety. This was followed by a General Session featuring an interview-style discussion with Bob Sarna from Minnesota OSHA. From here, a full menu of workshop topics and presentations covered the balance of the day.
We are very grateful to the many sponsors and exhibitors that helped make this day possible. Check the list below for those organizations that were participating. Their presence and displays helped set the tone for great networking opportunities and interactions with such a large gathering of safety professionals. It was also great to see how all the guest speakers delivered training, information and presentations that were meeting the needs of the audiences.
We will soon be posting a video of the Daniel M. McCune Keynote Address along with copies of session presentations on the Chapter Program Videos section of the Northwest Chapter website. Be sure to check back for that. Make a note to join us for next year’s PDC in which we plan to provide another great day!
