Topic: Ensuring the Safety of the Multicultural Workforce in the Midwest

Speaker: Pedro Lopez Bio: Pedro López is the founder and president of the Hispanic Contractors Association of Minnesota (HCA-MN). He is also a Federal OSHA authorized Spanish Outreach Trainer and conducts their 10- and 30-hour class training sessions. Pedro studied law enforcement at Minnesota State University, Mankato and was recruited from college to work at Minnesota OSHA. Pedro has worked in the McGough Construction safety department since 2014.

Pedro is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers Safety Professional and the Latino Workforce (SPALW) and has served on the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry Occupational Safety & Health Advisory Council. He has worked closely with Minnesota State Senators on different legislation’s benefiting Latinos/Hispanics and other minorities in the construction industry.
