Proposed Amendments to Chapter Bylaws

Posted: Jan 24, 2018

This past August, ASSE members made the historic decision to change the organization’s name to the American Society of Safety Professionals.

ASSE members voted to amend Society bylaws to reflect the new name. As a separately incorporated entity, our chapter needs to hold a separate chapter member vote to change the name in our bylaws, as well.

To learn more about these proposed changes:

We will hold a member vote on these proposed changes at an upcoming meeting of the chapter.

Northwest Chapter Receives Society Platinum Award

Posted: Oct 26, 2017

Once again, the Northwest Chapter has achieved the Platinum level of Chapter Recognition for the 2016-2017 chapter year! This status is based from the information our Chapter submitted in the Chapter Operations Management Tool (COMT) of 6/30/2017.

The work that goes into achieving this level of success is impressive and greatly appreciated by ASSE. This award does not just recognize the efforts of only the Board members, but everyone who participates in any Chapter activity.  Everyone who participates not only helps themselves become better safety professionals but also elevates the safety profession as a whole.

The Northwest Chapter will be listed on the Chapter Recognition page of the ASSE website and will include the chapter President for 2016-2017. In addition, the Platinum and Gold chapter winners will be recognized at the Chapter Recognition Luncheon taking place at Safety 2018 in San Antonio, TX.

Thank you for everyone’s work in providing accessible, face-to-face opportunities for ASSE members to become better safety professionals.
